How soon can I?

I do not know where this should go but I figure this is the most appropriate place.

My daughter is nearing 3 months old... and despite EBFing I have already had 2 periods and am gearing up for a third (same thing happened with my first two, I just don't get lactational amenorrhea)

How soon after a natural birth can one start using a Diva cup again?

ROTFLMAO.gifI thought you were going to ask, How soon can I start trying again! hahaha No advice, I have not had my first period yet. But I was looking into a diva cup...

Note: I have no direct experience w/a diva cup...but my thoughts would be that once sex is comfortable again (after 6weeks generally) then you should be able to...? That's my theory.

I'm with carrierwright on this one. Once you're cleared for other, ahem, objects to be going in there, I can't imagine that you can't use the Diva Cup again. ROTFLMAO.gif But the website says to get the go-ahead from your doctor first, so you might want to call and ask.

I just got my first pp period (at 11 months--sorry you didn't get a break) and didn't think twice about using the Diva cup (even though supposedly I should use the bigger size now). My assumption was that it was safe to use any time after the postpartum bleeding stopped and true menstruation resumed.

Yep, deployments are my main method of birth control too ;)

I used the diva cup when I got my period back at 8 weeks PP.

I also used mine very soon after birth, like 8 weeks but I had a C. I found that I just had to be delicate with myself. Even though I never had anything vaginal happen, for some  reason the area just felt "sensitive" and "stiff" as opposed to supple and easy to guide the cup in and out. So just be careful.
