Side by side double strollers

When I was searching for double strollers thinking I would have one infant and a 3 yr old I decided I like side by sides. Now that I'm looking closer there is a problem.......don't any of them accomodate two infant seats? I'm sure that one will be worn at some point. But I hate to take a sleeping baby out of their car seat.

I don't think that any of the side by sides do take 2 infant seats (at least I'm not aware of any that do).  But what we did was to use a double snap n go for when they're in the car seats and then transition into a side by side stroller once they were older and out of them.  The double snap n go is very light (well, for a double stroller), folds down well, and is easy to sell on craig's list when you're done with it. (We bought and sold ours on craigslist-- I think we bought for $40 and sold for $30, so it was the best $10 I spent on baby stuff!)

They do exist, but they tend to be pricey. One model would be the stroll-air. Nice thing about ones like this is that you can have the babies facing you. A bunch of other models can be found here.

yah i think the only model that does have side by side car seat adapters is the stroll air...tho i just learned that the other day. :)

i think bugaboo is coming out w/ a model that will as well...though im not positive...its called the donkey...it looks pretty cool, actually.

Exactly.  The double SNG was great for the first few months, and then we moved to a side by side after that.  I'd do the same thing over again, too, it worked really well. Also, because it's just the frame and the car seats, it's lighter and easier to use.  If you add 2 seats and 2 babies to a regular stroller, it gets heavy and awkward to drive!  (Don't underestimate that, especially when you're struggling to push a SBS stroller through a door that won't stay open, where people walk past and don't help.  OR through one of those double doors with a  bar going down the middle that you barely fit through, while trying to push the stroller and simultaneously hold open 2 doors!)

Our double Zooper Tango supposedly takes infant seats, but I never tried it because we didn't have any straps to secure them on.  I think seats would only work with a SBS stroller that has a bar going across the front.  Most SBSs don't have that.   So if you are set on having a SBS, look at the models with a bar.  A lot of them only allow 1 seat for some reason.
