Does anyone have any recipes for safe paint that I can use with my toddler? Have you made/used your recipe before? Do you like it? Will it work on wood?
I found one using cornstarch soap, water and natural dyes. I used turmeric to make yellow. It turned out fine. The blue (bluberries) and red (pomegranites) are more muted colors. I am not sure how this paint will work on wood. Since we will not be eating this, how safe would it be to use food coloring when making our paints?
I have a few unfinished wooden frames that I want to paint with DS for family members. Our goal is a very low budget yet special gift. I figured I would make paints and let his creativity make the frames unique. I did buy some alphabet stickers for him to put his name on after they are dry. I fgured I could finish them with polyurethane later. Any other ideas are gladly welcomed!
