Co-sleeping Mommas, where does your LO nap during the day?

I co-sleep with my 13 wo at night time but during the day, I have him sleep in a bouncer w/o switching it on. When I lay him in the Pack n' Play, he wakes up in 10-15 minutes and starts whimpering. He naps a little longer in the bouncer. When I put him in an infant swing, he easily naps for at least 2 hours. But I read that the swing tends to over-stimulate them and that is why they tend to sleep for long. What do you use for day-time naps? What do you recommend and why?

We lent swing to our friend and I told her to keep it because DS always hated it, but he does enjoy the bouncy. If I'm upstairs doing things I will lay him in bed, but otherwise he naps downstairs with us!

I lay down in bed with him to nurse and then get up when he falls asleep.

I nurse her while sitting in my comfy nursing chair (I can't get away with lying down in bed with her because of dd1, although I did that with my first) and then lying her down in my bed.  This usually requires two or so more minutes of nursing and then she's OUT!

Best thing I ever did was buy a video monitor. That way I could get DS to fall asleep in our bed, surround him by pillows and watch him like a hawk on the video monitor. I still do at 23 months!

ds1 was has napped everywhere. my bed, his crib (before we side carred it,) the couch, the floor on a boppy, his pack n play, the glider chair, ds2 always naps on me in the ergo ...

he has never slept in a bouncer or swing because, well ... i never tried it! lol . how is the swing overstimulating? the sounds? lullibyes? (did i spell that right?!) the motion? you could always turn the sound off, and i equate the rocking motion to the same movement a baby in a sling would experience. but i could be wrong, if anyone wants to educate me :)

we did so many different things because different things worked at different ages.

She used to nap in bed.  Now more likely than not, it's on my back.

That"s a good idea!

DS has, until now, napped on our bed. But he's 7 months and very mobile, so we got a crib for naps. It's in our bedroom awaiting assembly, and I am not looking forward to trying to get him to sleep in it, but I didn't see another solution. We thought about removing the bed frame, but that would've been a huge hassle also involving childproofing the whole room (as we only sleep in that room together we haven't childproofed it yet). Maybe the video monitor would be an idea, if the crib doesn't work out. The only problem I could see is if he wakes up and immediately starts crawling, I'm not sure if I could get there in time to prevent him from falling off the bed (he can easily crawl over pillows).

We taught DS how to get off the bed safely (turning around and getting down backwards). DS was also mobile and I'm pretty sure we had taught him how to do it by 7 months. We actually have his crib sidecarred to our bed, which acts as a safety buffer as well as gives us extra space. He falls asleep in our bed and then we move him into the crib without the hassle of having to lift him over a rail. He'll then crawl into bed with us whenever he wants in the night.

We let DD sleep on a mattress on the floor with a video monitor. She's only fallen off once (during the night, when I was right next to her), and didn't get hurt at all. She's never fallen off during naps and is now 24 months. She had a buch of near-misses from rolling in her sleep, so we put pillows on the floor to cushion it just in case. In our case, the fact that she knows how to get off the bed safely doesn't really matter because it's the times that she's rolling in her sleep that she's likely to fall. When DD was much younger, we sometimes let her sleep in her carseat or the swing (everything off), and from about 2 months onward in a reflux wedge. She had bad reflux, so she never slept flat.

On the bed with a monitor, or on the couch next to me while I spend time watching TV or on the laptop.

We did the swing thing and then we were LOST when she got too big for it.  With this next baby we're going to try hard not to use the swing for EVERY nap, it can become such a crutch!!  

But mostly DD would nap on our bed with a pillow fortress.

till she could move/roll i would let dd2 nap on my bed (we had master bedroom on main level).  now dd can move and master is upstairs, dd naps on the family room floor resting on the boppy and covered with a blanket.

He usually naps on the full-sized matress which sits directly on the floor, at the foot of our King-sized bed. He knows how to get down safely, feet first, but falling from the king, is more than double the height of the full mattress.
