My ds just got over what I am almost positive was Roseola about a week ago.... He started a fever on a Sunday evening after waking up from a nap that afternoon and not feeling well (he is 2 y.o. BTW) and didn't eat well the rest of the day, he had no other symptoms except a high fever and then Monday morning he wanted to eat and so we let him and then he threw up after I tried to give him something for the fever (I can't remember but I think all I had in the house was infants Advil but he hates taking anything so I think I barely got 1/4 of what he was supposed to have) and said his tummy hurt and I was thinking a stomach bug (eventhough he hadn't been anywhere in 4-5 days) but he never threw up again until Tuesday morning and that was 2-3 times but I noticed a rash that was starting around his neck but didn't think too much about it and then he didn't throw up again but we went to bed (mind you this whole time he hardly ever slept and when he did it was very restless) but he had been very fussy and then about 12:30am he was burning up couldn't hardly get a temp on him but his fever seemed to come and go every 15 mins or so......anyways ended up in the ER because he we couldn't console him and all they did was give him tylenol and zofran and sent us home....I even showed the E.R. doc his rash and he just dismissed it...gggrrrrrr. ANYWAYS.......we took him to the ped. the next day and she said she didn't think it was Roseola only because usually all kids have are the fever and then the rash.??? She did look in his throat and said he did have a bit of tonsillitis... But I did a lot of research online and it said that they can have vomiting and feel bad and his rash looked EXACTLY like all the pics I looked at online...and it started at his neck and worked it's way down his stomach to his groin area and then finally a bit down his arms. He had a fever technically from Sunday evening until Friday mid-day eventhough I suspect the his fever came back on Thursday night-Friday morning was because of his tonsillitis.....I did give him a few doses of Colloidal Silver in the middle of the night and before his nap on Friday and he woke up fine.........My girls who are 6 and 4 y.o. seem to have missed this one BUT I was militant about staying away from him and hand washing. But from what I have read Roseola usually only affects kids up to 3 y.o..
Soooo, if you have actually read this far
.....since kids usually only have fever and then a rash and no other symptoms with Roseola does this mean my son has a weak immune system because he got so sick?
