Starting a second bachelor's degree with 3 month old?

Am I crazy? Is it impossible? For background: my husband would be able to stay home with the baby.

It depends.  What kind of program?  What format?

Really.... anyone can do anything when they set their mind to it.  My SIL went to back to nursing school just 2 weeks after her baby was born.  I've been in school since DS was a babe, but it was online.

With a baby that young, it's not going to be easy.  But if you have a good plan and ease into the program, I bet you'll do just fine.

It's a pretty intense, full time Bachelor of Midwifery.

I started midwifery school (CNM, master's program) when I was 3 months pregnant, so DS was born 6 months into my studies.  I went to part time after he was born, my program was all online for the coursework, my clinicals were local and I was in clinicals on the 2 days a week my husband didn't work and took call for births whenever I could get family to cover childcare.  My son basically refused to ever take a bottle so my husband would bring him to me to nurse early on (I also worked part time early in the program).  I spent EVERY weekend from the time DS was 4 months to 18 months at my parent's house to have solid blocks of time to study and write papers (DH worked weekends).  Nap times were crucial and used for studying only.  I won't lie, it was crazy and would not have been possible without the amazing support of my family.  The program was 2 yrs full time and 3 part time, I finished in about 2.75 yrs.

I graduated when DS was 2.5 years old and took a full time job when he was 3.  DH became to SAHP at that time and that is so priceless because the irregular lifestyle that comes with midwifery is tough to work childcare around!  I've been at my job for nearly 2 years and I love it.  I have to say that looking back I"m glad I did when I did and it was worth the sacrifices and incredibly hard work it took.  Good luck deciding!
