single moms homeschooling?

Any other single moms out there trying to homeschool? I am finishing up college and hope to find a job any time now, but for now I am going to keep homeschooling my 8 yr old. Anyone else doing the same? How is your schedule? Do you work? Please share how it works for you!

I am a single mom.  I do daycare from home to be able to stay home with my 2 children (age 4 and 3)

Single mom here too.

We live with my family as I'm unemployable for health reasons. I do online surveys for gift cards to help make ends meet.

Somewhere in the single moms forum is a really long thread on this subject...

I've homeschooled my daughter since first grade, and she's a senior this year (except for the year she studied abroad). I've done a number of things - sold books online, worked from home, been a graduate student, worked jobs where I could bring her sometimes... I know other single moms have used various childcare arrangements, although I personally didn't, except  occasional babysitters or playdates. It's an option, though.

Not single but I am a WAHM who homeschools, and I was looking for a group about this today, in fact.

I stumbled on this site:

http://singleparenthomeschool.christianhomeeducation.org/resources.html  which has many links to other places.

I am joining this group, too:

awesome! How did you do it? I find it so hectic most days just to get going in the morning with 3 kids!! They are very spread out in age too. My oldest is now 15 and attends high school (early college actually) thank goodness. But my 8 yr old I struggle with on anything and everything. And I don't PLAN to be single forever. I want to date and hopefully, eventually there will be another "someone" in my life. But so far the men I meet are very surprised when I say I homeschool a child and have the baby home all day. Its odd to most.
