Looking for a homebirth midwife in Colorado Springs

Thread Starter

Hi,

I just moved to Colorado Springs and I'm on the search for an awesome midwife. We are planning our second homebirth. I'm hoping to find a midwife with a more hands off style and pro waterbirth, as long as things are going well. Any recommendations??? I wouldn't be opposed to hiring a midwife intern but need to research more about how they practice.

Thanks

Jan Eklund delivered my son dec 2, in the water, she was only as involved as I wanted her to be, would use her again for sure!

I highly recommend Pam Crowl http://www.coloradomidwife.com/page1.php

She attended both of my births and both were water births.  She respectfully followed my wishes during both births and I would definitely use her for any other babies I may be lucky to have!

I really like Jessica Nipp (she's also a naturopath) and Pamela Crowl.  I decided to hire Pamela as my midwife for our upcoming birth.

That said, I haven't heard of any local midwives being anything but what you ask for.  It may be best to just interview many of them and pick the one you feel best with.
