Wrinkles??

I can't believe I hadn't thought of this yet....I was in the tub with DH tonight and it got me to thinking. For those of you who've had waterbirths, do you ever get really wrinkly and uncomfortable? Lol. I tend to get wrinkled after only about 30mins maybe(don't usually time myself in the bath) and if I stay longer than that then my hands and feet start to become quite uncomfortable. Which of course led me to wondering if that would happen while I was laboring in a tub! =)

I sat in the tub for a couple hours, but don't recall any discomfort from wrinkly skin. Maybe it happened, but what was going on with my abdominal area pretty much ruled the mental roost. My legs did fall asleep, however, which did bother me.

I've never noticed getting wrinkled, but I'm never in the pool very long because my labors are relatively fast, so I might not be much help.

Like the previous poster said, though, I don't think you'll be concerned about it while you're laboring.  orngbiggrin.gif

I totally wrinkled up during my water birth, cause I was in and out of the tub for 44 hours. Trust me, you won't care!! smile.gif

I was in the tub for almost every minute of my 6 hour labor and I never noticed.

Totally agree with all PP. I spent 9 hours in the tub, and didn't realize I had wrinkled up until about 2 hours after the birth. It will be a nonissue during labor.
