Made playsilks with kool aid and CAN'T get the water to run clear!

I dyed some play silks today and they turned out beautifully! I soaked in vinegar/hot water for 30 minutes then did them on the stove, one by one, with 3 packs of kool aid, water and vinegar for each scarf. The colours are amazing but no matter how much I hand rinse them I can not get the water to run clear! The colour doesn't seem to be fading or anything...they just won't stop running!

Any suggestions on what I can do now? I'm worried the colour will run all over our furniture if DD gets them wet.

You could try microwaving them with a vinegar solution to help set the dye.  But if the colors are really intense, the fibers may be saturated and they'll run for a while.  I haven't been able to get really intense colors on my silks that don't bleed.  But we have tons of them, and no stained furniture.  Check the playsilks thread on toy and doll making board.  There may be more suggestions there.
