I have sick little one at home. We are looking for a gentle movie for her to watch. We borrowed a few from my neighbor ....Toy Story and Madagascar. Both latest only a few minutes in the DVD player before dd asked either why they were fighting ( ts) or why they were being so rough and teasing with each other ( m) and asked us to turn them off.

I have searched online but come up empty with a simple movie...

We have watched some scholastic story DVDs we got from the library...and those have been good...but each story only lasts layout 5 minutes. We are trying to keep her in the bed and still for a little longer.... Any suggestions?

I think of My Neighbor Totoro and Kiki's Delivery Service as the perfect gentle first movies.  If you want something even milder, my kids have both enjoyed the Magic School Bus videos.

We love Totoro.  I would also suggest Pingu, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pingu.  You can stream at least one of them on Netflix.  They are hilarious!  No words, just lots of funny actions.

Horton hears a Who...(Jim Carrey does the voice...and I am usually not a fan, but this is a really really really cute movie).
