Eczema- determining food vs environmental triggers

If your dc has eczema with food triggers, how do you determine that you have all the food triggers out? I imagine it's difficult to ever reach baseline with eczema, right? And there will probably be non-food triggers that you can't control. So when do you stop searching for more food triggers, and just manage the eczema the best you can?

Ds's eczema has been pretty mild for the last week or so. We are at baseline for poop and sleep (though it's only been 2 days- I'm crossing my fingers). When do I assume that we have all his food triggers out for his eczema? I do know that he has some environmental triggers for his eczema (dry/cold air mess up his cheeks, and I think EDTA in bath products triggers the rest of his eczema).

The eczema doesn't bother him- it never has except when it was at it's worst, from sweet potato. He gives absolutely no indication that it itches at all. Right now, it's barely pink, with a few bumps and some mildy dry patches. I'd rate it a 1-2 on a scale from 1 to 10.
It seems that most doctors don't think food is a common trigger for eczema, right?

What would you do? Would you keep looking for another food trigger? Or assume you're at baseline for food?

bump. I'm pretty sure we have out enough foods so that his eczema is left very very mild, but still there. It's actually probably only noticable by me. Would you still look for more food triggers? Or just assume that the rest just *is* and keep moisturizing and watching (but not obsessively) for patterns?

 

Some of the triggers for his poop and sleep, however, are still hiding from me. grrr.
