I'll be the first! - Page 3

Hi all - It looks like I may be joining you all here!

I got a SHOCKING positve test today! I was not at all expecting it. DH and I had decided to wait on TTCing until December - LOL! We only bd'ed 1x before O and it was cd13 - I usually O on cd 17/18 and it seemed I did the same this cycle......so who knows!

We are suprised but very happy! I am planning on a homebirth (my first!) and already am in contact with a midwife who seems good (and was highly recommended) We will met face-to-face next week sometime.

I just hope this little one sticks - I had a m/c after my first and it still worries me....

Hi everyone!! I think it's great to have a place where we can all get together for this kind of support. It's soooo refreshing!! I just found out about my new bundle on Saturday (Due 12/06/04) !! I'm sooooo excited. This is my first pregnancy and I can't wait to see what happens. Not to mention the fact that I'm itching to meet this new little person!! Congratulations to all of you ladies! I hope all of you will enjoy this time as much as I am.

One question, though. Are any of you nauseated yet? This is the beginning of my fifth week and I still feel great. Tired, but not ill. Is that normal?

Nausea

Not everyone gets morning sickness. I've never had serious morning sickness. I NEVER threw up with my second at all. I did only twince while pregnant with my first- both when I took an iron pill on an empty stomach! I had tiny bits of quesiness with both, but nothing worse than I get after I ovulate. (I always feel quesy after ovulation. Weird, huh?) Now I'm 5 1/2 weeks with baby 3, and no nausea. If you get it, many women have it hit around 6 weeks.

SamImNot- Welcome! As for your question about nausea, with my first, i didn't have any nausea...I had some smell aversionswhich started at about 9 weeks, but no "I'm gunna hurl". I puked once trying to down 48 ounces of fluid in a 15 minute time for an ultrasound :...but that was it. With #2, I threw up a couple of times...because of motion sickness (but related to pregnancy...I don't get motion sickness any other time). With this pregnancy, the same so far. i almost puked twice on a 1/2 hour plane trip last week because of turbulance...but I will myself not to because i was sitting next to a traveling pilot and I wanted to have SOME dignity :LOL

I've never gotten queasy this early (this is my 3rd) I can't remember exactly, but I think it was around weeks 8- 12.

Me too, me too!! I just found out today. I am soooo excited! (note the excessive use of smilies, :LOL)

No symptoms yet, really. Maybe a little more fatigue & runnin' to pee... Those are probably more from my ds's teething, and my excitement, though. My :Puke y feelings didn't start until around 8-9 weeks, but they lasted til the middle/end of my fourth month -- I lost 15 lbs! Too bad I can't diet so well when I'm not preggos!

Great to see you all!! Goodess I'm so silly... I'm almost in excitement...I just went and bought $20 worth of flannel in all these cute prints to make itty bitty dipes out of...

My first ever post here and my first pregnancy! We've been TTC for a few months, and I went to the doctor yesterday with a UTI. As she was prescribing me some meds, I said, "wait, there is a small chance I'm pregnant, so you better check before you pick an antibiotic." She came back in beaming and said there was a very faint pink line, but it was there and that I am definitely pregnant!

I am 12 days post-o and my period isn't due until the end of the week. I am so excited and want to tell everyone right away, but I'm going to try and wait. I am very nervous about the so-called "chemical pregnancy." But I'm trying not to let that dampen my excitement.

I am so glad to have found this board--as a first time pregnant lady, I have so many questions! I haven't called my midwife yet (figured I would do that after I miss my period and take a second test to confirm). I am so excited! I feel like the first woman who's ever had a baby! : (at myself!)

Online calculators predict the due date is 12/23, but that will probably change when I show my charts to my midwife. Yay! I'm looking forward to getting to know you all over the next 9 months!

Congrats ladies! And welcome Kaliki. I wish I had found this place during my 1st pregnancy...at least I'm here now, though!

PS...I get to meet with my midwife tomorrow -- I'm so excited!
