EWCM towards the end of LP?

The last few cycles I've been getting ewcm at the end of my lp.  There's not as much as during O time, but it's there.

Does anyone else have this or know how to explain it?  Just kinda curious.

I think there's a bit of an estrogen peak right before AF. I often get ferns on my scope right before AF comes as well.

Yeah, right before AF comes your estrogen jumps up. I get the same thing, that's how I know AF is surely on it's way.

I wonder why ewcm isn't more common at that time then?

For example, if I put it in ovusoft, it messes everything up.

I get notable EWCM 1-2 days before AF as well about 90% of the time.  I don't put it in my chart though.  Any fertile CM after O triggers the computer programs to doubt the original O day.

I think it is mainly a weakness of computer programs to need things fairly simplified--though I am sure it is possible to reprogram.  It would be hard to distinguish though I think that if the temp shift is clear enough no need to doubt the O.  I can see what the programs are designed to catch:  Some women do have irregular cycles with patches of EWCM well before they actually O, then later they have more and really O--if temps are unclear enough the programmed doubts would be justified.
