Planter's warts

Hi all I have been struggling to get rid of my planter's warts, I have been to my FP to have them frozen off a few times, ouch! when I had them as a teen I just used the over-the-counter acid stuff, however that is not compatable with breastfeeding, and would like to find something a bit more natural.

I have also used the over-the-counter freezing, some tea-tree-oil once a day assuming hta thte blisters from the freezing has healed. Any suggestions? Any way I can avoid getting them, my dr said that it is just a virus and there aren't really any good ways to prevent getting them, wearing flip-flops if you shower in a public shower like a gym or something (which I don't do). Many thanks.

Plantar warts are caused by a virus, actually a form of HPV, not quite the same strain that you think of when you hear of HPV! Once you have it, you have it, you could go years between warts only to have them pop up again. I got infected from a nasty locker room during DD2's pg and have struggled with them ever since. irked.gif I really wish I knew what he uses on mine, I think it is a trade secret that he does't give out too often, but my podiatrist ALWAYS gets rid of them on the first visit. He says it is an old army trick, I've tried looking it up and have failed. Anyway, there is no freezing, he picks a bit of the skin off to get at the wart, swabs an unmarked solution on it and about a month later the entire thing falls off. I also happen to have two regular warts on one hand that I have been trying to get rid of all this year, I've done freezing in office, strips, they tried injecting them with yeast, nothing, still there. Since it is on my hand my beloved podiatrist can not touch them, so annoying. I have heard this from other people though, podiatrists since they only deal with feet sometimes have special tricks up their sleeve to get rid of stubborn plantar warts, I know it is certainly true in my case.

I've gotten rid of plantars warts (mine and 3 of my children's) by using Lemons soaked in vinegar.  Slice a lemon and soak it in white vinegar for a week.  Then, tape a piece of it to your wart overnight.  In the morning, use an emery board or pedicure board and scrape the wart down to where it's uncomfortable.  Do this every night and take a night off if it gets too painful.  All of the warts I've done this with have come off within 2 weeks.  They start to get a hole in the middle.  You'll see the little black dots in the hole and then the sides start to get smoother and then it's gone.

My sister got rid of hers by soaking her foot in apple cider vinegar every day for about a week.
