C is in labor

The SW called at 9am.  C is in labor.  They're going to wait until after the baby is born, and then if C still wants us to come down, we will.  I might not get a chance to update.  If not, Whistler can give you guys the play by play for me.  ;)

I'll be thinking about you all day.  (((HUGS.)))

I can give you updates IF she ever texts me...

Still no news from C.  The agency will call us if/when they hear from her.  They'll call us until around 11 tonight, after that we have to wait until morning.

I hope you hear something before 11:00.  I'm sure the waiting is horrible.

How exciting!!  Keeping you in my thoughts tonight.  praying.gif  I hope this is the dawning of a new and beautiful journey.  I will bet mom is somewhat somber; I am grieving tonight for her for the goodbye she will experience.

C had the baby yesterday at 4:40.  She still doesn't know what she wants to do.  She'll be meeting with a social worker today.  We might know more today or tomorrow.

Oh my, what an emotional roller coaster for all involved.  Wishing you all peace as you get through this.

Also sending you peace.  I cannot imagine the stress you're going through.  I do know how hard it is to not know what will happen with the child you had hoped to raise though it was for a different reason.  ((hugs))

Sending you love and peace during this nerve-wracking time.

I ache for C.  And I am also thinking of you....  And I remember so clearly the days we spent in just such a place.  Hugs!

Another update from the SW.

C still does not know what she wants to do. She met with the social worker today but still can't decide. I feel so awful for her.

She and the baby are scheduled to be discharged tomorrow. If she wants to go ahead with an adoption plan, we will be driving down to the hospital tomorrow and stay in a hotel with the baby.

C can legally sign the papers as early as Friday, but being that Friday is Christmas Eve, and that is really a sucky thing to have to do any day nevermind Christmas Eve, she has said that she does not want to sign the papers until Monday. While it means lots more pins and needles for us, I get it, I really do.

In other words, if we get a call tomorrow to come to the hospital, we will have physical custody of the baby, but C will still be his or her mother in every way, including legally, until the papers are signed. And so we could possibly have to give the baby back to her if she changes her mind. Obviously we don't want that, no one does. C doesn't want to do that to us either, which is why she is absolutely killing herself with this decision right now. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

How much love she has, that she is agonizing over this situation for everyone involved.  My heart breaks for her.  I know how much it means to you, but how much she loves that baby...  Many prayers and hugs to you, C, and little one.
