So tired - ds2 not sleeping

Ds2 is 18 months old.  We cosleep and for about 3 weeks, he has been nursing all night long.  He must be attached most of the night.  If he unlatches and I roll over or go to the bathroom, he wakes up and the whole process starts again.  He used to use a pacifier at night and after he nursed a bit, I would unlatch him and stick the paci in and he would go back to sleep.  The paci is now his lovey and he must hold it to go to sleep but won't suck it anymore.

For naps, we rock to sleep and then I used to be able to transfer him to bed. He will still do that with dh or my mom but when I try, he pops back up and then wants to nurse again - and often doesn't go back to sleep.

I am so tired and I get so frustrated with ds2 during the night.  I know something needs to change but I'm having trouble making the first step.  I'm hesitant to night wean because I'm wondering if his molars are starting to bother him and also because I know he will be extremely upset.  But this isn't working for any of us right now.

I don't know if I need advice, encouragment, support or what.  On a whole, ds2 is a much better sleeper than ds1 ever was and I know this may be just a phase and I should hang in there.  I just feel so overwhelmed right now.

No advice, but wanted to say that your post sounds like my situation, except my DS is 15 months.  I go back and forth between needing a change to our routine and being able to know that it will get better.  Will look for if anyone has any advice, but in the meantime, hang in there :)
