Some days my son just wants to eat bread and milk...and I let him.

My kids like to wake up at 4-5am. I do not like to wake up then. So I put on backyardigans, give them a banana and milk and doze on the couch for an hour.

Also, I give my daughter more bananas than she needs and just give her some juice to go with it so she doesn't get constipated. It is literally the ONLY thing she will eat consistently. Sometimes I is the only thing she will eat all day.

All three of the kids were crying/screaming in the backseat of the car on one trip to town. I stopped at the candystore and let them all get one of those gigantic 6 inch lollipops.

my son started using the potty recently. We go about, go to friends houses and it's mostly ok if he misses and pees on the floor. But the other day we went to a friends house. She has this beautiful parquet flooring. So, to avoid possibly staining her floor, I put a menstrual pad on my son's undies! He didnt pee, or notice.

It will be a funny anecdote to tell when he bring home his first girlfriend (or boyfriend)

DD has had some tough health issues lately and I use candy and TV as bribes for her to do her treatments/take her meds. Figure I'm just doing the best I can at the moment.

Us too!

DS has more shows in the DVR than we do.

However we add Imagination Movers to the repertoire for spice. Thomas, IM, Chugginton, Repeat.

I gave my 20mo a candy cane today so that he would stop running around DH's office for a few moments.

No flames here. We handed DS a bag of chips this morning for "breakfast" because we were in a hurry...

We were in a hurry two mornings ago to get to great-grandma's doctor's appointment on time (we are her "taxi service"). My DS got goldfish for "breakfast" that day

DD1 considers Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory as her close and personal friend.  We netflixed the first few seasons on DVD and I used them to bribe her to not get into trouble when I was nursing DD2 when she was a newbie.

I chastise DP for giving DD crap to eat, yet I let her have chocolate milk today as a bribe to keep her awake in the Ergo while out on errands ... she was nodding off and I needed her to stay awake!

DH and I have "offered" to call Santa re: behavior for the last week, it was amazingly effective.

Me too.  My daughter really really wants to go to Build a Bear before her coupon expires.  She's doing chores around the house to earn an allowance to go.  "Santa" has brought her a gift card for the place, though.  But yeah, I told her that if she doesn't behave, I'll let her unwrap her presents, then she can go with me to the Toys for Tots or something and give them away.

We've gone beyond "offering" to the real phone call about a week ago.  DD1 cried and then has been amazingly well behaved for a week.

We spent a couple of nights at my grandmother's for Christmas. The first night, DS freaked out halfway through the night and demanded to come in the bed with me. I got NO sleep between him and DH and in a full-size bed. So last night, we convinced DS to sleep on the couch in the living room so that he could "keep watch for Santa." And I don't even do the Santa thing! DS has just decided that he's real this year, no matter what Mommy says, so we kinda just rolled with it. But at least I got a good night's sleep!

When DS 1 was about 4 and had chicken pox, I bought a t.v. (from Wal-Mart, no less...oh, the shame!) so he could watch for a couple days (we are a t.v.-free family)...then I returned it when he was better.

Used to give DS 1 a (clean, of course) tampon to play with...he loved to fling it around by the string or draw faces on the "mouse."  He is a teenager now and I sometimes want to bring that up when he's being saucy.

When my 3yo daughter asks for (another) drink of water I tell her she can have one when she falls asleep.  It works. :)

I gave DD a Hershey Kiss yesterday to stop her from crying....She has been eating a shameful amount of chocolate and cookies over Christmas. Oh, and the french fry thing, yeah, me too...She loves them. She has absolutely zero interest in TV, except for commercials with catchy jingles (she loves music in any form) and also football games.
