PPAF returned and left again?

Background;

After my first baby AF returned 15 months pp. Spotting at 6 weeks but it was in no way a period.
Baby number two AF returned 5 months pp.
Baby number three AF returned 2 months pp. I had two heavy week long periods and now I'm on day 41. My periods are almost always 28 days with the occasional 30 day cycle. I've breastfed on demand with all babies so nothing new there. I'm not pregnant. I took a pregnancy test even though we haven't dtd during this cycle. It was predictably negative.

Where is AF? Has anyone ever had an obvious period come back and then leave again pp?

I have had something similar happen, I'm not sure what the cause was but it could be stress, illness, something along those lines?

Not sick and I'm at an all time low for stress level.

I don't know how concerned I should be. The only medical option is for me to go to the ER and wait there to ask someone about it.

With my daughter I had that happen...although further out post partum. I'm wondering if maybe your 2 weeks of heavy bleeding was still post partum bleeding. I know mine would seemingly slow down and "leave" and then two days later would start up again. That went on until nearly 12-13 weeks post partum.

I wouldn't overly analyze it. You took a test and aren't pregnant so just enjoy the break for the moment.
