bpa and pthalate free

Ok so I'm having a hard time with this one.

i just got the Kleen kanteen with the avent sippy.

they are BPA free, however they don't say anything about pthalates.

This isn't the first time I've seen a label mention one and not the other.

I've tried researching it online and am coming up with nothing.

What am I not getting?

Should I contact the company and ask?

Are you asking about the bottles or the sippy attachment?  The bottles are free of both (see http://www.kleankanteen.com/products/classic/klean-kanteen-classic.php -- read through the "Features" section on the right side of the screen).

Thank you.

I should have been more clear.

My question is about the Avent sippy attachment.

the info at the Phillips web site isn't very helpful.

#7 actually just means "other plastic" so not all #7 are dangerous. For instance, the plastic made out of corn is #7 and it's good stuff.

true but you don't know what #7 is unless you call, so if you want to call then yeah do that.
