computer games & workbooks for 4&6yo?

My daughters love the Starfall reading games on my laptop. My parents are getting them their own desktop computer for Christmas and want to know what games to get them. I've only let them do anything on the computer for the last few weeks and really have no idea about appropriate games. I suggested Reader Rabbit but that's about all I know. I'm looking for anything educational that's also fun, although, honestly, I'm really lucky because they beg me for reading and math lessons and enjoy just about any kind of learning activity that we do. Any suggestions? 4yo is obsessed with horses, so anything horse-related would be great.

I'm also looking for some new reading and math workbooks/activity books. They both really like doing workbooks. 4yo is learning letter recognition. 6yo knows letters and most sounds. She can definitely read a lot of words but is too unsure of herself to really try very hard. She knows her numbers and enjoys arithmetic in her head, but we haven't done much written math at all so I'm looking for workbooks in K math, I guess.

TIA for any suggestions!

I didnt go computer games (the type that you loaded onto the computer).  DS never seemed to like those.  He preferred just going to diff. websites and seeing what was out there.  However when DS was your kids ages some of his friends used 'Jumpstart', 'The Magic School Bus', things like that.  If you have an hour to kill go visit Best Buy or the like and check out the computer software section of the store.(Nowadays some things can be directly downloaded from the web)

KUMON has some great workbooks for younger kids.

I'd also look at older games and see if any have controls your kids can manage. Even a puzzle game you can all solve as a family!

DS just reminded me he loved the 'I SPY' computer games.  I can not remember if they were software or downloaded.

We've had tons of workbooks from pre-K, K, and now we're into 1st. Overall I'd say DD and I both like the SchoolZone workbooks the best for content and visual appeal.

DD mostly asks to go on PBS kids, Starfall, and the Strawberry Shortcake websites. She does have a couple Magic Schoolbus games, but she prefers the books. She loved the Reader Rabbit preschool and K, I have to find out if they have 1st grade.

We also had a Curious George game she loved, and Clifford Phonics was great, we both loved that one.
