Easy, non-grainy breakfast for toddler?

Eggs, yogurt-and-fruit, anything else?  She doesn't like nut butters unfortunately.  She does like cheese but she already eats a lot of that as well as other dairy (milk, butter) later in the day.

I don't have a problem with grains as long as they're whole but they have this tendency to take over her diet if I don't make a specific effort to get at least a dab of protein and fat in at every meal.

My toddler gets eggs or cottage cheese just about every morning, because thats what I eat. Sometimes i'll have the makings of corned beef hash in the fridge, so we'll have that instead. The only times he gets grains for breakfast is if mommy's feeling particularly lazy.

My DS doesn't like eggs and would live on toast if I let him, but his new favorite breakfast is Greek yogurt (vanilla flavored, not plain) with toasted walnuts or pecan pieces scattered on top. He *won't* eat fruit with yogurt, and isn't fond of nut butters, but he does like the super-thick yogurt with the nuts scattered on top. If you are ok with nuts, might be worth a shot!

My DD loves bacon for breakfast, we get the good nitrate-free kind from our local health food store.  Also, Sausage, we love the apple chicken kind from Trader Joe's-so yummy!

We do a scrambled or over easy egg, assorted fruits, and either a piece of buttered raisin toast, cheerios, or whatever grain is in the fridge (pasta, rice, wild rice, etc).  He is also a carb loader, I think it's that they crave it for the energy it gives them.

He's also not adverse to dinner leftovers.  Yesterday his breakfast was mahi mahi, couscous, and tomato salad LOL.

Funny you should say this.  My 13-month-old has rejected YoBaby for a few months now but tried some of her dad's Greek Yogurt and just loved it.  I'm guessing the other kind was just too runny.  I shouldn't have been so quick to cross yogurt of the list.

I fry up an egg for my toddler many days a week.  I just put some butter in the pan and scramble it up as it's cooking.  She's just about ready to have 2 eggs for breakfast.

I understand why you don't want his breakfast to be too carby, but Jules also loves whole wheat pb toast.  It seems healthier than white bread, butter-only toast.

The dinner leftovers suggestion is a great one.
