Well, we got a surprise Christmas gift this year! Went to see my perinatologist Monday. My bp was super-high. It had been climbing all weekend, so I was sort of expecting it, but hoping it would go down. They decided it was safest to go ahead and induce because of the pre-e. They admitted me that afternoon, monitored me all night to see if it would go down any, and induced Wednesday morning when it kept going up. Eli was born @ 11:36 Wed morning @ 36 wks, 6 days. 6 lbs, 11 oz. He's doing great! We were very concerned with him being so early, (our ods had to spend a few weeks in the NICU for respiratory distress when he was born) but thankfully he didn't need any help. He's nursing like a pro, and we're busting out of here tomorrow. :) Can't wait to be home with the rest of the family for Christmas. It certainly wasn't the birth experience we were hoping for, but he's here and we're both healthy, and I guess that's all that really matters when it comes down to it. :)
