I think the title says it all...

While we do not live WITH my mentally ill mother, we live in a two family house and run one kitchen, one living room, one playroom, and so on, so she is very active in our lives and there is good and bad which I hope to discuss with others in regards to running a home, raising kids, and other related topics.

I would suggest posting in the general Parenting forum if the specific questions relate to parenting your children and navigating the experience with relatives. If you are looking for ongoing support dealing with a mentally ill mother and navigating your emotions, stress, interpersonal issues, etc. Personal Growth might just be the ideal spot. You'd also be welcome to start a "tribe" thread in Parenting for others who are parenting in a multigenerational household for ongoing discussion about parenting with our parents, too. With so many forums, there's really not a right or wrong answer, and it's going to depend on which forum you feel will best suits your needs.
