Anyone have experience treating "molluscum contagiosum"?

My 5yo daughter has molluscum contagiosum (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molluscum_contagiosum) and I am wondering if anyone has had a successful holistic treatment. She has had it for about a year and it is spreading and getting irritated. I have tried poke root salve topically and schisandra berry powder internally--neither one long enough to really test efficacy. Help?

I treated with ascorbic acid to tolerance.  If you can't get her to tolerance (loose bowels), then give her as much as she'll take. Additionally,  I soaked some paper towels in ascorbic acid mixed with water (can't remember the amount, just dumped a tablespoon or so in some water, mixed it) and applied the paper towels over the MC for about 20 minutes before bed.  Took about a week before it went away.

You could also have her soak in a bathtub with ascorbic acid solution, depending on where the lesions are.

Thank you! I will try this. So encouraging to hear a success story.
