DD's eye turns in just a little bit (i think) who to see about it??

Her one eye always seems to turn more than the other, although if she is looking at something she looks normal. most of times too she looks just fine. but I really want to get it checked anyway.

Who should I go to? Pediatrician, Opthalmologist (not pediatric. there's none under our plan) or Optometrist?

any advice will be appreciated. i've been doing searches about it and still can't decide.

I think I would take her to an ophthamologist. We all see an opometrist and I have nothing against them but if it is something an optometrist doesn't deal with, then s/he would refer you to an ophthamologist anyway and why go twice? You can call your pediatrician for a referral, s/he should know someone who is good with children even if not specifically a pediatric ophthamologist.

I noticed my DD's left eye turning in a bit a couple years ago (she is 12 now). She was already wearing glasses and I asked the optometrist about it. He said it was from undercorrection for her nearsightedness. Her left eye had gotten worse and needed a stronger prescription in her glasses. So it might just be that your DD needs glasses and one eye is a little worse.

thanks so much for sharing! DD is 3.4 years old if that makes a difference. I will call a pediatrician's office for referral maybe. We don't have one we've been to since we moved to NJ
