booster suggestions?

my ds is 6yo, 48 pounds, and 46" tall. his britax boulevard is about to expire and so he needs a new seat.

i'd like to get something that can keep him harnessed for a while and then transition into a booster seat. i've seen recommendations for the britax frontier 85 and the nautilus. price really isn't a factor and i'd like to get the one that will keep him harnessed the longest.

i've tried searching the forum and most of the posts are from 2008? i'm not sure if i'm doing something wrong but i thought a new thread couldn't be that bad.

tia!

If you don't want him to be boostered quite yet, either the Nautilus or the Frontier are both fabulous choices.  :)

Does he still fit correctly in the Boulevard (straps above his shoulders)?  If so, you have oodles of choices.

yes, he still fits in the boulevard, but he's running out of strap room. the strap part where you tighten or loosen the straps only has about 4 inches left so there's not much room for him to go up before the strap is done.

He's 48" tall and he has 4" of strap height above his shoulders?

no, the extra strap that comes out between his legs that you use to tighten the harness. it's below the buckle and you are supposed to tighten the harness with is when you get them in.

the location where the shoulder straps of the harness come out of the back of the seat are close to maxed out, we probably have another inch to raise those but i haven't checked for certain. i know they fit for now.
