Midwife - Homebirth for St. Clair County, IL ??

Looking into options...moved to St. Clair county, IL from California (well most recently we were on the road for 18 months).  I know the Illinois midwife situation and do not need a licensed midwife "lay" midwife would be perfectly wonderful. 

Any ideas?  Contacts?  Thanks!!

I see an NP at Dr. Dalla-Riva's office in Maryville. She has privileges at Anderson Hospital. Anderson is very supportive of natural childbirth options. Her name is Monica Major-Harris. Their office is at the hospital.

I would wait and find a Midwife. I am sorry I don't know of one but if you can't find one you like go across the river. I would stay clear of anderson. They may say they are natural birth friendly but they aren't.

I had a homebirth in St. Clair county in 2006.  My midwife is no longer practicing (I think.....), but we used a MW from across the river.  It was a haul for appointments, but well worth it.  PM me if you'd like more information.
