Roll Call and Due Date Roster September 2011 - Page 2

post #21 of 234

* Name: Shelly

* EDD: Sept 6, 2011

* Age: 32
* Location: Canada
* How long it took to you to get your BFP: 5 months
* What number child is this for you: 2
* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH - married for over 8 1/2 years, DS - 2 1/2
* Birth plans/preferences: Same midwife that I had with my son, hoping for a successful VBAC after my stubborn little breech baby
* Anything else you'd like to share: We're going to be moving in a few months so thinking I wouldn't need them I packed up all my mat clothes and put them in storage, joking that it would be a "reverse jinx".  Christmas Eve day we were leaving for the week to be with family, I wasn't late and had no symptoms but I didn't want to have to test at a house full of family that I had no intentions of telling right away.  Sure enough we got a Christmas present, I quickly cleaned the test and wrapped it up as a present and gave it to my husband telling him Santa came early.  We were both shocked, especially since the only symptoms I had were of typical period cramping at the right time, and now I need those mat clothes back!

* Name: (whatever you would like to be called or like us to know) Laura
* EDD:  Sept 7

* Age: 24
* Location: central Alabama
* How long it took to you to get your BFP: we started trying in Oct '09. My son Jack was stillborn at 36 weeks in August '10. Miscarriage at 5 weeks in November '10. So I really don't know how to answer that one. I get a lot of BFPs. Just no live, healthy babies. Here's hoping!
* What number child is this for you: this will be my 3rd child, hopefully my 2nd living
* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH, Ray, 39; DS, Henry, 4 in January
* Birth plans/preferences: I am a UP/UCer, but I may go the medical prenatal route this time around, I really don't know yet. I will NOT be birthing in a hospital unless its life or death, though. I'll just have an "oops" at home. I am such a fast birther, that won't be hard to believe.
* Anything else you'd like to share: I vow to try my hardest not to bring negativity to this DDC. For obvious reasons, I am not the most optimistic person here right now, but I am working on improving my attitude one day at a time. I want this baby desperately, I am longing to have a live and healthy baby in my arms. Its just so hard for me to believe that for me, pregnancy = baby. It just hasn't worked out that way the majority of the time, but I'm hoping to even up my score this time. I really, really want this to stick.

Hello. I'm new to the forums. I'm C and I'm 5 weeks pregnant with my 3rd. I have a 6yo and a 3 yo. It was an unplanned unexpected pregnancy, but I'm taking it as a blessing despite the hardships. Looking for support being that I'm a single mom even though xdh knows and is supportive of pregnancy. He is still good father to kids despite our seperation. I'm due Sept 3.

post #30 of 234

I'm definitely in this club.  lol.gif

* Name: Cathy
* EDD: Sept. 16th

* Age: 34
* Location: Pleasant Garden, NC
* How long it took to you to get your BFP: It was an Oooops...  We were supposed to wait until February.
* What number child is this for you: 5th pregnancy, 2nd child
* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH Dave married since April 10th, 2010, James 4 almost 5, 2 dogs, 1 cockatiel, 11 chickens, and 2 goats (soon to be 4 or 5, our doe just started bagging up and should be kidding in the next week. smile.gif)
* Birth plans/preferences: Homebirth like with my DS.  Really excited to finally be contacting and meeting the midwife here that I've been talking to right before my miscarriage in June.
* Anything else you'd like to share: Well, I had two miscarriages last year.  The last one probably because my blood sugar was so high and I didn't know I had diabetes until my check up after my miscarriage or could have been a blood disease that clotted the blood in the umbilical cord.  So, after my BFP tomorrow I'm going to make an appt. and get this test done, because I will need to take a baby aspirin every day or every other day if that is the case. 1st miscarriage last year was in January and I totaled my truck and was lucky that is the only thing that happened.  I'm just glad me and the dogs walked away from it.

post #34 of 234

* Name: Allison
* EDD: Im guessing September 6, though kaiser doesnt see me for the first time until 12 weeks, so im guessing from my ovulation and "tried" date

* Age: 28
* Location:Portland, OR
* How long it took to you to get your BFP: 4 months
* What number child is this for you: first
* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): husband, 2 guinea pigs, 1 house bunny, 3 exotic lizards, 1 old doggie, and 3 horses (boarded away from home, thank goodness, less work for me)
* Birth plans/preferences: home birth or birth center
* Anything else you'd like to share: After deciding a year ago we wanted to have a baby, getting off BC and then waiting 1 year for my hormones and cycles to regulate (never happened), and then trying for 4 months (2 irregular cycles) I was convinced it would be impossible for me to get pregnant. I assumed I had endometriosis due to SEVERE pms, or some other issue. I started experiencing strange symptoms on Christmas night. I could no longer read the guide on the tv trying to pick out a movie for the inlaws and us to watch. I could barely walk or see anything. I was getting extreme hot flashes. I finally took a HPT the morning after Christmas, just for kicks, and was half way to throwing it into the trash before I realized there was not a "NOT" in front of pregnant. I woke my husband up who was groggily excited.

post #36 of 234

* EDD: Sept 9th (very conservative estimate... it could be up to 4 days sooner but we're not quite sure about the dates)

* Age: 28
* Location: Brazil (in 2 weeks)
* How long it took to you to get your BFP: this was a total surprise! so zero I guess...
* What number child is this for you: 2
* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH, DD + cat
* Birth plans/preferences: very up in the air since this was a huge surprise!  We actually don't even know if we'll have insurance or not because of upcoming move.
* Anything else you'd like to share: We're basically just trying to get over the shock right now.  I'm excited but pretty overwhelm with this move and DD still nursing... a lot.  Plus I'm starting a new job very soon and we'll be moving to a country in a language that I'm not entirely proficient in it so, yeah, it's going to be a bit dizzy.gif

* Name: (whatever you would like to be called or like us to know)    Alexa
* EDD:  early september

* Age:  31
* Location:  British Columbia, Canada
* How long it took to you to get your BFP:   I guess first try, but was really surprised it was first try
* What number child is this for you:  4
* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies):    hubby, A:6, W:4, V:2
* Birth plans/preferences:  another hvbac
* Anything else you'd like to share:  I really was not expecting this.  It was a crazy December, I had a nasty stomach bug twice in 3 days (not morning sickness in anyway, shape, or form), we drove crazy hours to see family for Christmas.  My grandma had looked at me and asked if I was......I told her a big fat NO, and made hubby get a test for me.  I don't like to tell people right away, so we were with family for 5 days and said nothing.  I'm really excited with this new one and I'm making the memory of pregnancy last since this will be our last child.  The next stage in my life is to become a midwife so I can still enjoy pregnancy and babies through other women!

post #39 of 234

Still can't believe I am posting here!

* Name: Sheramy
* EDD: Not sure...I have only had 4PPaf's....and I totally didn't write down when my last cycle was...oops!  I am thinking the official date would be the end of August, but considering my youngest son was 21 days late, I am expecting a Sept baby

* Age: 33
* Location: Massachusetts
* How long it took to you to get your BFP: this was a surprise!  We were hoping to wait another few months...
* What number child is this for you: 3
* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH, DS 4, DS 22months and two kitties
* Birth plans/preferences: Planning our third homebirth

post #40 of 234

* Name: time4latte
* EDD: 9-11-11

* Age: 31
* Location: Boston
* How long it took to you to get your BFP: 4 cycles but 1st actively trying
* What number child is this for you: 2
* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): married with 1 son 17 months
* Birth plans/preferences: midwife hospital birth - aiming for a spontaneous labor this time.
* Anything else you'd like to share:I was induced with ds didn't take any pain meds, which I don't regret for a moment, but I want to do things different this time - no pain meds, no inductions. My labor was 8 hours 15 minutes from the time she broke my water. Same amount of time my mom was in labor with me. If her second labor is any indicator ... 3 hours from first contraction to birth - and the OB was concerned she would birth with the sac still intact!
