Kissaluvs questions

I bought a few size 0 Kissaluvs a few months ago and I unsnapped them completely when I washed them, not realizing the umbilical snap thingie can stay snapped when being washed. Now I can't figure out how to snap them up again! Duh-uh! I just can't get it to look like the pictures online at all. Can someone please talk me through it? I can't imagine it's that complicated, but hey, I'm sleep deprived with a one-week-old! :)

Also, I'm wondering if I have the version 1 style instead of the version 2? (It was supposed to be version 2 that I bought.) The stitching is a very light brown, but really more beige than brown. It's made of 90% cotton, 10% polyester. Is there any way to tell? I know the V2 is supposed to have light brown stitching, but what colour is V1 supposed to have? Do the two versions have a different snap down for the umbilical cord?

Any help much appreciated! Thanks! :)

Tag is on the outside. Look at the rows of snaps on the front of diaper the very middle one will look a bit different and if you fold that down outward there should be a snap that it goes into. Hope this helps. :)

Thanks! I can do that no problem, but the reason why I'm confused is when I do that it doesn't look the same as the pictures I see online. Like this one:

I can kind of get it looking like that, but when I do that it means that there are snaps on the inside of the diaper and wouldn't uncovered snaps be uncomfortable against the skin? (It's not the back of snaps, it's the front - the part that you snap into, if that makes sense.) I suppose I can fold the bits another way, in the front so the snaps don't go in the back, but it's fiddly and Kissaluvs say the umbilical cord bit should be able to stay in place without any fussing in between washes etc, so I just assume I'm doing something wrong?

that picture shows the middle portion folded inward, when in reality on a baby it lies flat across their belly and folds down over the front so that no snaps are touching baby on the inside...does that make sense?  (i wish I had a pic of my son wearing his a few months ago...would make sense in a picture)

so that seam that is vertical in the front in the picture...that serged edge would be horizontal folded down across the front of the diaper...

What I do is snap the umbilical snap down, and then snap each side to fit on the baby. Here's a picture of my ds at a few days old and 8lbs. It's not the best for showing the snaps, but maybe that will give you an idea of how they actually look on a newborn.

AH, OK, thanks! Guess I've really just been overthinking this - snap it down and go! For some reason I thought there was more to it... :) Did it today and it seemed fine, yay!

Thanks everyone!
