where are the directions to kool aide dye bumgenius 1.0's??

I was going to get rid of my old faded bumgeniuses, but remembered that people used to koolaide dye them and I am thinking of just fixing the elastic and would like to brighten up the colors but i can't find the old threads on how to dye them, anyone have a link to some old threads?

I used acids dyes from Dharma, mine came out great! Any kool-aide dye instuctions for wool should work. The bg1.0s are coated nylon.

Are later model 3.0s different? I would love to brighten one up. I have dyed polyester FOE using powdered food coloring (no kool-aide in france) and vinegar. Though it faded a lot after several washings. I wonder if that method might work on the BG?
