Just started cultures/ferments. Yeast die-off, detox, something else?

I started ferments and cultures this week. Maybe 4-5 days ago. I DO have amalgams and known mercury/yeast issues (per homeopath). The day before yesterday my "troubles" began.

I currently have:

a raging yeast infection, thrush and yeast flare-up on my scalp.

canker sore

headaches

ligament pain

sugar cravings

gas (flatulence and burping)

sore throat

And the baby is spittier and gasier, with a yeasty diaper rash.

Is this some kind of detoxing, or yeast die-off reaction, or something? Should I just keep on going or back off some? I don't know what's going on!

TIA

Yes - slow down, way down. Take lots of sodium ascorbate, Pascalite clay, Bs, enzymes.

To deditus's suggestions, I'd add magnesium and maybe zinc.  My DD's canker sores were zinc-related, and it's often low in people with amalgam issues and we tend to have problems absorbing and utilizing it--I've had to supplement stupid high levels to myself and the kids.

I'd stop the ferments for now since you're breastfeeding and take some time to get to a stable, steady place, before restarting more slowly.  And maybe, depending on the age of your LO, consider a probiotic supp or foods if your LO is eating solids to help steady their digestion.

Well, I was eating about a tablespoon of fermented cucs and carrots, every other day. So I'd had them twice. But I was making coconut milk kefir and drinking about a cup or so a day... My kefir was new from the mail, so it wasn't working really fast. After 24 hours it's a little curdled, and thicker, but not really sour.

Baby's only 3 months. I was hoping that by culturing me I could better culture her... I did try opening some probiotic capsules and either sprinkling my nipple or dumping some in her mouth before nursing, but she really hated that and I didn't notice any changes or anything, so I just kind of stopped bothering...

I think specifically now, since you've seen a change in your LO, it's the time to give, and keep giving, a probiotic to her.  When DS was little, I'd mix the powder in about 1 tsp of water and try to use a medicine syringe to squirt it into his mouth.  Sometimes it got clogged up but IIRC mostly it worked.  It often takes a while to change gut environments and if you've got a heavy metals issue, it can be more stubborn.
