Still pregnant roll call

Thread Starter

Anyone still pregnant? I'm starting to feel like it's just me, since I've seen more than a few January DDC babies born. Jerks. (Okay, okay, KIDDING of course.) My due date is tomorrow 28th, and I'm hoping for a VBAC. My OB is comfortable with waiting till 41 weeks, so we'll ride out this week and see what happens. If I still have no baby by next Tues, we'll do a slow induction and hope for the best. I really hope it doesn't come to that! I went into labor on my own with DS, so hopefully I will with this little guy or girl too. I have been losing my mucous plug for a few weeks now, but that's about all I've got going on at this moment, unfortunately.

Anyone else hanging in there with me?

A few of us left - check out the "overdue" thread.  I was due the 17th, and am still here at 41+3.  My son came at 40+4, so this child seems very stubborn in comparison.

Still here, I was "due" the 23rd.

still here too! my dd was the 16th....

I'm in the same boat. Due the 28th and attempting a VBAC (actually a HBAC). I'm not even overdue but I'm still antsy.

Still here. Was due the 21st.  My dad is here from out of town but has to head back on the 2nd.  I am really hoping that the baby makes an appearance before then.  Mostly I am content to wait.  I had a little conversation with her today and told her that I am completely supportive of her picking her own birthday and trying my best to be a patient mama.

Good luck to all of you waiting on your babies.

I'm still pregnant...but my water just broke!

No bloody show or contractions yet so we'll see how things unfold...

Too. Excited. For. Words. love.gif

Still here, too. Due 12/30, but I'd had this inkling that he'd come early, which might be contributing to my *considerable* antsiness. Ready to meet this kid! And not be pregnant.

Wow, how exciting.  Praying for you and your little one.  May you have a safe and empowering labor.  Good luck!

how exciting janet!  Good luck, and have a wonderful birth.

Is there anyone here who's as overdue as I am (due Dec 17th)?  I feel like people due later than me are having babies left and right and it will never be my turn!

Thank you!

18 hours later and no real contractions, though. Still leaking fluid. Tried castor oil once and hoku. Gonna have to take a 2nd dose in about 40 min if things don't get going! Bleech.

I don't know what the kid is waiting for...all the snow here to melt?? irked.gif

Still here! I've been having prodromal labor on and off for over a month. EDD was 12/21.

We went from bed rest and begging him to stay in when I went into labor during a kidney stone attack in mid-November to begging him to come OUT this week! I have been dilated to at least 7 since late November when we had a bout of prodromal labor that was so painful and prolonged that the midwives came out and were sure I would have the baby with in 24 hours(ha!), no sign of my mucus plug, been having TONS of sex, pelvic rocks, bouncing on the ball, acupressure, chiropractic- nothing doing.

This could me me exactly...except I was suffering from a gallstone attack and don't think I was dilated to 7cm...doing all the same things you're doing too and after a baby that was apparently ready to come out WAAAAY early, it's now playing the late game!  My sister seems to think that the scare was enough to help me really find my calm and centre and that's why things have settled down so. My chiropractor today was so surprised to see me...everyone keeps wondering if January is a better time for this little one...I'm starting to wonder too. i guess as far as school goes it might be nice...

I'm still here, too! "Due" Solstice, but the baby (babies) didn't think so. Still pondering that second hiccup in there. Guess we'll find out when the time is right.

Standing in the check out line the other day, the cashier asks me my due date...blah blah blah, so I kindly reply that we were due a few days before when out of the blue, another customer in the line over looks right into my eyes and tells me that my baby is going to be born sixteen minutes after midnight on January 1st. I didn't know what to say, but thank you. Intuitive? Crazy lady obsessed with predicting birthdays? Except for missing the tax deduction for 2010, Jan1st would be a fine day to give birth. The moon will be out of Scorpio by then and into Sag (whew), and I've already got the champagne chilling in the fridge for the big celebration. Cheers!

I was hopeful last night.  A few contractions, some more of my plug gone.  But nope.  Still here.  Creeping up towards 42 weeks - somewhere I never expected to be after my first was born at 40+4.  Oh well.  I'm just trusting baby to know when it's ready.

had the talk today with my MW about what happens postdates. I declined induction and BPP. She seemed like we would revisit this next week...she wants to talk about sweeping membranes but I'm not interested because of a GBS positive test. She is fine with whatever I choose...but she does have some lack of comfort with certain choices. I know she wants me to do the u/s but luckily she's not pushing it too much...we'll see what happens if we make it to next week. 40+6 now, hardly seems like a good idea to be doing anything except what I am already doing.

I too was hopeful last night, lots of strong surges, lots of pressure on my cervix. Luckily when MW checked me today, baby is quite low which is nice as s/he was floating really high last two visits!

Taking the xmas tree down today...thought it might help to get into a new mindset.

I'm here too!  Due today or tomorrow (New Year's Eve).  Getting lots of practice runs, but feeling antsy as I thought this would be an early baby too!  Trying to be patient with my huge and difficult to move body, and telling myself that a Jan baby would be lovely. 1/1/11 would be a cool bday - no?  And if baby waits till the 4th, then it will be on our 7th wedding anniversary.  Good luck to all you mamas!
