Julian is here!

[First Time Mama]

 My second son was born December 18th. Unfortunately, I did not get my hbac. We had an urgent, emergency transfer to the hospital because of heart rate decels. But I got my VBAC! It was really amazing how it all unfolded, but we definitely had some scary moments. We finally got home Monday night and the week has been a blur of nursing and trying to get sleep, and take care of big brother. My emotions are mixed, and I still have so much to process about the birth. I am thrilled that I got my vbac, because it looked like that wasn't going to happen. It was not my perfect birth, but at least this time I gave birth, and I am proud of that. Julian is a fantastic nurser, and gaining weight, and doing really well. Being a mother to two is exhausting.

Congratulations on your VBAC!  That is a wonderful accomplishment, and I hope you let yourself be proud of that.  I am sorry it did not go exactly the way you wanted, though.

congratulations on your vbac!!!! i just had an unplanned c-section with my first, after a homebirth transfer and i am already thinking about how important it will be for me to have a hbac or vbac the next time around. so proud of you!
