Round ligament pain?

I'm 36 weeks and woke up very early this morning with pain in my abdomen: it was low on my belly and only on the left side. It didn't feel like a contraction so the only other thing I could think of was round ligament pain. Anyone had something like that?

It's late for round ligament pain. I mostly had that early in the second trimester, when the uterus is just starting to grow out and over the pubic bone. But I did have a zillion aches and pains of every description, late in my pregnancies, so I don't think I'd be too worried about it unless it's acting like labor.

I had awful round ligament pain throughout my whole pregnancies. Really bad.

allisonrose, I could have written your post!

I'm getting it too at 36 weeks, I don't know what else it could be. Feels just like the RLP I was getting earlier in the pregnancy with vigorous walking (a good belt took care of it then). I still get it every now and then, mostly while getting out of bed in the mornings or turning my body in the car to see behind me when backing up. I'm also beginning to drop, trying to feel baby from the outside feels waaaay different than it did before.
