Before you start looking in stores, check Craigslist. I found a $1,000 treadmill for $200. And if you're training for a marathon, you need something that is really sturdy and offers a variety of programs/options. Treadmills vary greatly and should be purchased based on your needs, such as your weight, intensity of use, etc. I would suggest checking craigslist and then googling the specs and reviews for the ones you see on there.Â

Mine is an older model- an Epic t60, but it's great. I like the accuracy of the heart rate monitor and the variety of options, including how I can connect it to an iFit website to track my progress and log miles. The downer is that is it VERY heavy and bulky and a bit noisy. However, the size is actually a good thing- a tiny, skinny treadmill wouldn't hold up against the intense battery it's given.

I hope you find something great!
