Southland anyone?

DH and I finished the first disc of Season 1 from Netflix and really enjoyed it! Season 3 starts next week and we'll watch the second season online before it starts? I didn't think I'd be able to handle another cop drama but this one is really well written and I like the characters.

Big Southland fans here.  DH and I really got into this series last year after it moved from NBC to TNT.  We were really big fans of The Shiled on FX until the series ended several years ago.  This is the first cop show that has even come close to being as raw and edgy as The Shield.  I really believe the characters in this show and hope that Season 3 is just as good.

Hi. DH and I were huge Shield fans too. We're going to finish up season 1 tonight and then watch Season 2 online this weekend. I love that we see glimpses into the characters personal lives without it being overwhelming. One of the things I USED to like about Law and OrderSVU was that we didn't know more than I felt was necessary about the lives of the cops. I also like having a show DH and I both equally enjoy to watch regularly.

 I finished season 1 and have one episode left of Season 2. Sammy's wife is...wow, so annoying. I can barely stomach her. Liked the way she dealt with the gangsters who probably would have stolen her camera but her judgement is just so poor. I really love Regina King's character.

How are you and your DH liking Season 3? This is such a great show. Poor Sammy...That affair was out of left field. Now I wonder if the baby is his?

ETA: After watching Season 1, I thought I liked not knowing more than necessary about the officers personal lives but now I find myself wanting to know more.
