Need Ammunition for Child Custody hearing >>> My ex is now bringing up the Vaccination issue...

I am going back to court yet again with my ex for custody of my son. I am currently the primary residential parent, having my son 280 days a yr and his father 85. He is now taking me back to court citing multiple issues he has decided to bring to light now to use against me ... One of them being the fact that I don't vaccinate my son, who is now 4 and healthier and smarter than any other child I know his age ( that's a fact, not me being biased) I attribute this to the fact he was breast fed until he was 2 yrs old and not vaccinated ... I cited religious beliefs, and he has specifically stated in the paperwork as follows:  "The Mother has failed to allow the child to be vaccinated and refuses to allow the father to administer to the child any medication including Tylenol citing religious beliefs, however, she does not attend church regularly."  The tylenol thing is BS because I am not totally against medication, however I don't believe in pumping my child full every time he runs a small temp. I believe in allowing the body to do what it was designed to do and fight a fever with bring the body temp up. Anyway, ever since he has been with the woman he is Now married to, who "happens" to also be majoring in child psychology, he has brought up crazy accusations and come up with "ideas" on how to raise My son ... I have no doubt it's coming from her because I know the man, I was with him long enough ... and you can tell by the way things are worded,  it came from her. I had ALOT of research when I lived with him, which I might add, he REFUSED to even read, but after I left, I had left it in the top of a closet and he threw it out. I have to start all over again with my research, and any assistance, encouragement ect., would be greatly appreciated. I plan to go to court with all the info and research I need to back up my beliefs and reasons for doing what I do and raising my son the way I feel is best for him. Thanks in advance !

Gosh - bringing the vax issue into a custody situation is just plain dirty. Im so sorry you have to go through that.

Dr. Tenpenny has a section in her book about custody stuff. Ill see what it says and post back.

I am so sorry for this stress. The only thing I would think about since this is for the court is not to put the issues of vaccines on trial. There is simply too much at stake and uphill to try and incriminate vaccines.

I would focus instead on your effective role as medical decision maker, yielding that even though your decisions are not mainstream, your son's health is outstanding. Promote his lack of chronic illness, autoimmune issues, vibrant immune system. Get everyone to focus on your RESULTS not your CHOICES.

I agree. I'd consider taking him in for a check up and have the Dr. fill out a "physical" type form to take to court.

I would get a natural practitioner as your son's care provider, and say that you are following your doctor's advice, working closely with your doctor...etc.
