Baby cries every time Dad holds him

My 3 mo old cries incessantly when his dad holds him! The moment I or my mum or dad take him, he's fine. The surprising part is he is fine with strangers. We went to a party recently and he was absolutely fine when our friends held him. DH doesn't usually play with our baby or hold him when he comes from work, he has never changed his diaper. The one time I asked him to give the baby a massage just to make him get used to his dad's touch, DH stopped after a few seconds, he just wasn't interested. Is my baby's behavior normal? How can I get him used to his dad? Also, DH won't hold the baby when I ask him to or hold him the way I think the baby would be comfortable.

My DS was like this with my DH and my DH was almost as uncomfortable around DS when he was a tiny baby. They honestly didn't start really getting to know each other until DS was 10 months or so. By the time DS was 4, he and DH were inseparable. They adore each other. I did keep having him change diapers and do other things that I needed help with when I needed the help, but I was definitely the primary care provider at first.
