treatment for poison oak while pregnant?

Ay yi yi yi, I have a t-e-r-r-i-b-l-e poison oak rash! And I'm 29 weeks pregnant. Somehow it's down in between my breasts, across my chest, my forehead, back and front of my neck ..... Starting to erupt in blisters. I'm going crazy!

I have some over the counter hydrocortisone cream 1%, but some webpages are saying it absorbs into the bloodstream and affects the baby. Is Benadryl cream safer? Any other ideas?

Thank you so much!

I don't usually post in here, but I saw the headline at the bottom of the page and wanted to offer a suggestion. You might want to look into Zanfel. It is a cream that you apply topically and wash off. It is the only thing that works for my dh and I.... we are highly reactive. It is my understanding that it is safe for pregnancy and bf-ing.

Here is a quote from the site:

Zanfel can be applied on any external body area, including the face and genitals, and is safe for use by children and pregnant or nursing women. http://www.zanfel.com/help/info.html
