Looking for a Kombucha SCOBY!!

I live in Wisconsin, and would be willing to pay shipping if someone has an extra SCOBY they wouldn't mind giving me?  Just let me know!  Thanks in advance :)

I'm not anywhere near you, but I noticed you hadn't gotten a response, so I thought I'd tell you what I did.  I bought a bottle of commercial stuff and put it ina mason jar for a few weeks and then brewed some tea and plopped in the little bitty scoby.  It worked wonderfully and I brewed consistently for about a year before taking a break.

Also, there is a site where people post ISO and offers of extra cultures.  Can't recall where I've seen it, but you could probably google for it.  GL!  :)

I got one for free from a guy on Craig's List. Also, there are a few Etsy shoppes that sell them for really cheap. :)

I hope you find something!

I just got one from this guy Josh on Heal-thyself! http://heal-thyself.ning.com/group/sharingstartercultures/forum/topics/scoby-for-trade

I'm just trying my very first batch, now, so I can't attest to the quality or anything (as I don't know shyte), but he shipped fast for just $5!

Oh thank you guys!  I had kind of given up hope on getting any responses to this thread so I haven't checked it for a while.  I actually am trying to grow my own from store-bought kombucha--I've done it before but it just takes SO LONG haha and I'm impatient!

I'll check out craigslist and that website right now, thanks again every one :)
