The blades on ours broke easily. It was gifted to us but a totally worthless gadget. :-)

I didn't, DH did! I'm lucky if I can pick anything up below knee level at this point.
We got a new bed (bigger, to accommodate the new little person) and got rid of the old one. We cleaned out the under-bed landfill while we were transitioning from one to the other.
In the donate box:
2 items of toddler clothing with Dora on them (we don't do characters around here)
Sent to storage at Mom's house (not technically gotten rid of, but since it's out of the house and took some work to sort/box/label and send, I'm counting it):
4 boxes of outgrown baby clothes to be stored until we need them again
pile of garbage from the yard (boy, was it embarrassing around here when the snow melted)
broken garden hose
I don't think we're going to make it to 1000 before baby -- Im feeling a whole lot like going into labor this afternoon...
I'm going to call it 475 - DD found a doll dress that belonged to a friend and we gave her an T-shirt as well.
Then I cleaned behind the couch and had a grocery bag full of trash - and disturbed some gathering ants. DD is banned from behind the couch.
I also found a new way to deal with things. When it gets down to that final pile of crap - I put it all in a portable basket and dragged it around the house putting it away. I used to try and pile things up, and take them in groups or one thing at a time to where they should go. But that method left me easily overwhelmed and I'd never quite get the space cleaned up. This way the space is cleaned up. I can take the basket on one trip (or a couple) and if there is anything left in the basket, I can think about it a little bit.
Looks like that whole labor thing was a false alarm... *sigh*... the last two weeks are always the hardest... I was so sure, with a full moon and everything, that this baby would decide to show up this weekend!
So, we're back on the decluttering bandwagon - my goal is still 5 items a day, so we'll call this good enough for today:
3 children's books tossed in the donate box (I'll be happy to never see the Disney princesses book again, though DH is going to ask where it is)
1 book sold on Amazon (new decluttering total: $203.87!)
1 Valentine's Day Mylar balloon thrown away (why do we save these???)
In the car to go to the electronics recycling place this morning: 3 old computers we weren't using. Feels great to get those out of the house!!!
And I went hunting for a few things to round out my handful of items for the day:
1 jar of rancid massage cream from my dresser drawer
1 "War" card game somebody gave DD (really? For a 2-year-old?)
1 yucky old matchbox car
4 receiving blankets
5 pair pj's
8 jars of dry goods from pantry
2 mason jars
2 junk food items
3 empty spice jars
4 empty spice packets
2 pot holders
75 + 1100 = 1175/2011
