I have already set aside so many items I  am not going to list them each individually. :)

1 box of baby feeding items never used -bottles, manual breast pump and such- 17.  First trying to sell on craigslist.  Will donate to local food pantry if no interest.

cleaned out a linen closet and paired down on miscellaneous linens- 4 donating

cleaned out closet that has become a dumping zone- 43, donating, threw a couple of things away, recycling old cell phones, and selling a nice land line phone set we don't use

13 glasses collecting dust (margarita and wine glasses..we don't even drink!), Donating to Goodwill.

Now the key is to actually box and bag all the donations and get them out of here.  I had bags of clothes sitting around for months that I finally brought to a Goodwill a month ago...Also, if items don't sell I am going to donate them...even if they have decent value.  They aren't making money just sitting here and I need them out!

We just got back home from vacation yesterday and decluttered at least 10 items from the fridge. We plan on startig the declutterig in the next day or so...as soon as we are over the jet lag. 10/2011

here's what I did the last 2 days:

-went through entire folder of 2010 receipts and bills and threw out all unrelated crap that made it's way in
 (counting this as 1 item)

-donated 20 pairs of jeans and I didn't even bother to count how many other clothes of mine and DH's, 2 huge garbage bags full (will count as 50)

-went through recipe books and donated 1

-went through misc junk pile and got rid of about 5 items

I'm just going to say I'm at 70 so far this year and will try to keep better track as I see so many of you have it ALL written down lol!

Another 20 items for me - various things: bottles, old pump parts, "artwork", a pair of old sneakers, a few glass jars, broken crayons, and more! I just keep a count in my head as I go through the day. I don't count every little thing and I don't really care about listing everything

I also managed to locate all but 2 pieces (extra) to all 4 of my pumps, organized, made a list and bagged into 4 separate bags so they don't get thrown or mixed up all over again. I haven't counted this in my total yet, but I will once their out of the house. I really think 2011 things is going to be easy.

And, I went through a HUGE pile of leftover material from making diapers and cut them into useable pieces for my quilt- I say that counts as 1 decluttering point! Also, I made two diapers tonight out of two old t-shirts and an old ripped sheet so +1!

Wow, this is easier to do than I thought! We are hoping to move within the next two months so that will really help my count. I can just imagine as I go through my kitchen cupboards and my storage closets, "I don't want to pack that so I'm donating/ tossing it! Plus, it'll count towards my goal on MDC!"
