There certainly is a gadget for everything! shrug.gif It's kind of hard to describe, but it was certainly an unnecessary item!

First off -1 wire cooking rack that DH removed from the donate box "to grill steaks on when the weather is too cold to use the BBQ". You win some, you lose some!

desk lamp

hair brush

umbrella

2 plastic rings

stack of papers-shredded

small plastic container

and recycled

1 outdated map of Canada

Didn't do much decluttering today - recycled 4 old spice jars (with expired spices in them) and listed 11 dolls for sale - hopefully some of these will leave my house and help with the clutter.
New total with the spices - 186.

I think deleting over 8000 emails is a huge decluttering accomplishment.

That is great...well done.

One thing I am doing this year is just being more frugal....over the last week I just had the urge to go shopping for something for myself, so instead of buying something new, I foraged in op shops and got some really nice vintage things....so if I end up getting rid of them one day, I haven't spent much either!

Late last night, we went to a party thrown by a friend who collects scrap metal for a living.  We brought with us 18 bags of aluminum cans that we'd been collecting for him.  It was an astonishing amount of stuff to get out of the house!!!  And our friend was delighted.

joining!  i failed at 2010 in 2010.  i think i was at 18XX something.  i have a lot of stuffed boxed up that i haven't removed from the house yet, so i didn't count it toward my 2010 total.  i guess that will just give me a jump start at 2011 once i get it out of the house!

I decluttered my huuuuge stash of art supplies and got rid of a lot of useless stuff. It was so much, I didn't even count I just tossed it. I was trying to sort through it quickly just to get it done, plus Super Wiggy was all "Ooh, let me have [insert item here] that!" and not everything in there is necessarily child friendly! But I cleared a ton of clutter, I promise. I was able to condense another box and a large bag of art stuff into my designated art boxes thanks to the extra room, so there's less clutter surrounding my desk now.

I was totally inspired by the discussion earlier about decluttering email, so I started in my unsubscribes -- 3 email lists in one blow!  Woo hoo!  And more to follow as they arrive...

I'm up for the challenge. Off to a slow but sure start:

*small handful of business cards & receipts from old purse

*little tabletop X-mas tree

*bottle of sauce from a friend

I don't think that's failing-- I think it's awesome that you decluttered 1800+ things!
