2 old toothbrushes
2 clay figures
handful of pens
stack of old computer discs
I went through the pantry and boxed up the following to go to the food bank:
-2 boxes of cereal
- 2 misc can veggies
- 4 bags of beans
-3 walmart sacks full of baby food and baby cereal.
So far, I've tossed about 17 various items. Still, a good start for the first day of the year, even if they were small items.
Went through a cupboard and a box:
-8 pieces of mis-matched tuperware
- 1 worn out aporn
- 1 icky burp cloth
- 2 books
- 2 handbags
- 1 puzzle
I gathered 65 baby items including outfits (counted the whole outfit as 1 piece), shoes, bibs, etc. for VVA pick-up. Gathered 45 winter items for the homeless. Those are still with me, so they will be pending.
70 items bagged up and ready to go.
Not bad for my first day.

I totally want in on this. I'm the queen of purging!! Today I went through my file folder and organized all 2010 receipts, sorted through and got rid of 20 pairs of jeans and a bunch of clothes and made DH do the same. I started another box of giveaway items for Goodwill. I think I'm at about 50 items at least here lol. I absolutely love purging! It's so freeing. They say that the state of your life is nothing more than a reflection of your state of mind. I like my life and mind uncluttered.

I'm feeling very motivated this weekend
15 expired medicines and old toiletries
20 mismatched socks or too small clothing items
We have a severe backlog of laundry and quite a few items that we don't need keep getting put through the laundry. A lot of it is stuff to donate since it's still wearable. So my goal for the rest of the weekend and this week is to sort those items out of the laundry as soon as they are clean and get them out of my house. I've washed my kid's pants that are too small at least three times since I found out she outgrew them. Somehow they keep getting put back into the dirty laundry.
