My DD will be 4 in May and we are starting to look for a new car seat for her. Â She is 31 pounds and 37 inches right now. Â We have her forward facing because we can not get a second car seat in our car rear facing, and drive safely. Â I want to get her something that will last as long as possible and something that is easy to instal. Â We have an Eddie Bauer 5 in 1 and I HATE it. Â It is really hard to install, in doesn't help that our OLD jetta's latch bars are buried between the seats. Â
Â
I am so confused as to what is the best choice. Â I thought there would be a lot of forward facing/ booster seat options, but most seem to be convertables. Â Nothing against convertibles but I just figured we would be paying for something we don't need and something that is strictly forward facing would have a taller shell?!
Â
I was looking at the britax frontier... it seems like a good option but it doesn't look very comfortable. Â We drive a fair amount and DD often sleeps in the car. Â Something like the True Fit looks comfortable but I can't tell how long it might last? Â She sat in a Nautilus today and really liked it... it did look really comfy! Â While DD is quite short right now my husband and I are tall so it is possible she might have a growth spurt.
Â
Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Â And I suppose I should've mentioned we live in Canada.
