lotus birth

Hi y'all I just read the amazing placenta and am very interested in this practice I was wondering if any one eles is considering it or has known anyone who did it and was it in a standard hospital ?.

You will probably find more input on lotus birth in the Homebirth forum.  As for doing it in the hospital, I'd say your chances are slim to none--it can be difficult to even bring your placenta home from the hospital after cord was cut within a minute or so.  But most docs appear to believe that leaving the cord uncut will cause anemia in neonates, or so at least has been posted here on various occasions, and so I heard from an OB's mouth recently.  Not that there appears to be any reality to that claim...and it's not what I've seen at homebirths...but medical practices are very hard to bring into reality in some cases!
