DS is 8 months old. From one month to five months, we EC'd, but then went through a long, nightmarish move that made EC impossible for me. Toward five months, it was getting really hard to EC. DS wasn't that interested. But we still managed one pee catch per day. We are finally settled and not traveling anywhere for a few months. But my little man is so active now and doesn't slow down for anything. He has a fairly regular morning poo, which happens after he has moved around a little and usually right when I'm in the middle of getting breakfast for his sister. Otherwise, he will stay dry for a bit of time now. This makes me think it might be a good time to try starting EC again. With his sister, I was consistent from two months and we never stopped for any length of time. How do I go about starting new with an older baby? Especially with it being winter, I can't imagine letting him be free because it is so cold. Suggestions? Success stories? Many thanks . . .

It sounds like you're doing great! Even if you catch nothing but the first morning poo, it's a great thing for your little one! If you want to try to step it up a little more, you could just offer right after he wakes up and about 5-10 minutes after nursing/eating. Since he's so interested in moving around and doesn't like to slow down, you might have more success with less pressure about it (my dd definitely started resisting everything if I was offering more often than she was interested in)...just doing the easy catches and waiting for him to initiate more. But I don't know, it's been a long time since I ec'd an 8 month old. Good luck!
I'm in the same boat with my seven month old. I got lazy after the first few months and even though we catch the first morning (and almost always the first poop) pee, I want to do it more throughout the day, but I'm not sure how to go about switching back to full time. He's so busy!!Â
