i feel like ive posted this so many times over the last couple days, lol! it seems so stressful before you get started. how old are your children? that info will help us give you better advice. my oldest dd is 7, and we are able to get all of her schooling done in a bout an hr a day.normally this means the hr before bedtime. i work full time and go to school part time, so we school on the weekends as well. it really isn't all bad spreading everything out. we school year round, which gives us more flexibility. if i have a day where i'm too tired for school, i don't sweat it. dd is at the first grade level right now, and we work mostly on math, reading (i was lucky because she actually has taught herself to read for the most part), handwriting, and history. i plan to add science in at some point this year. math has been our biggest challenge. we are sloooowly making our way through a singapore workbook. she loves history, and i am able to work her handwriting into that a lot of the time. i just leave her for a while with some early readers and let her work on reading herself- she doesn't like me helping her with that for some reason. it is work, but it's rewarding. when i think of things that stress me out in my day to day life, homeschooling is not really ever even on the radar. honlestly i think i would be dealing with regular school (homework, transportation..) at least as much every day, if not more. good luck to you!
