want to do something nice for our vet, any ideas?

We have a really amazing vet. She is SO nice and has taken so much time to talk to me about my concerns with our dog (see my other post!) that I want to thank her some how. Every time I call she takes as much time as I need to talk to me about the options and she is very reasonable. She has worked with me over the phone as much as I need, and I really appreciate it.

I want to do something nice for her, and I am not sure what. I was thinking about a gift basket or something, but I want it to be meaningful and not just store bought and shrink wrapped, you know? Does anyone have any ideas?

Could you make a donation to your local animal shelter in her name? a gift basket of old towels, treats and Kongs to the local shelter? Our vet has a "fund" for folks that can help pay their vet bills, if yours does you can donate to that. I probably wouldn't do edible treats except for the pups this time of year because after Jan 1, everyone seams to be thinking about their waistline. Do they do large animals too? Gloves/mittens for everyone?
